Senior centerman Nicolas Müller (Arisdorf, Switzerland) is the Big Ten’s First Star of the Week, as announced by the Conference office on Tuesday. Müller had two goals and two assists in the Spartans’ sweep of No. 10/11 Ohio State last weekend. In the first game of the series, Müller had an assist on Matt Basgall’s power-play goal in a 4-2 Spartan victory, and then had two goals and an assist in the series clincher on Friday, a 4-3 win.

Three Spartans who could have breakout years in 2020-21
Michigan State hockey lost a lot of top-tier players and a lot of production this past spring with the graduation of starting goaltender John Lethemon, leading point-getter Patrick Khodorenko, and forward Sam Saliba, among others. The Spartans will need to have several players step up if they want to take the next step and compete for a Big Ten title. However, the Spartans have numerous guys on the roster who are poised to take that next step.

Spartan Hockey Signs Two For 2019-20
Michigan State hockey head coach Danton Cole announced on Tuesday (April 2) the first phase of its recruiting class for the 2019-20 season. Both Nicolas Müller (Arisdorf, Switzerland/Modo Hockey) and Josh Nodler (Oak Park, Mich./Fargo Force) have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Spartans for next season.
