Bullough (6-3, 258) from Michigan State product, will officially enter his fourth NFL season in 2018. An undrafted free agent signing by Houston Texans in 2014, he’s played 30 games (four starts), amassing 35 tackles and three tackles for loss. He also appeared in the Texans’ 2015 AFC Wild Card matchup against the Chiefs.

Two former Michigan State football stars were cut from the Houston Texans on Friday as both Keith Mumphery and Max Bullough are now looking for new jobs. Both were going through off-field issues recently and the Texans showcased a no-tolerance approach, cutting them both loose.

Just as he was starting to become a mainstay on the Houston Texans roster, Max Bullough will miss the beginning of the 2017 season. Bullough has been suspended for the first four games of 2017 for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy, the league announced on Thursday.

The football bloodlines run strong in the Bullough family. The latest one headed to the NFL is Michigan State third-team All-Big Ten Conference linebacker Riley Bullough, the aggressive, relentless younger brother of Texans linebacker Max Bullough. Bullough was the fourth member of his family to play for the Spartans, including his uncle, Chuck, father Shane and his brother, Max. His grandfather, Hank, played offensive line for Michigan State and the Green Bay Packers.
