Mark Dantonio says players will decide if Jon Reschke can rejoin Michigan State team
Former Michigan State linebacker Jon Reschke, who left the program following the 2016 season after making what he called “an insensitive and totally regrettable comment” about a former teammate, could return to the Spartans. Mark Dantonio, after speaking to high school coaches at the Horatio Williams Foundation in Detroit on Wednesday evening, said Reschke could be back and it will be up to the players to decide.

Mark Dantonio impressed with Michigan State’s chemistry, finish to spring practice
Less than 72 hours after Michigan State wrapped up its spring game on a cold Saturday night in East Lansing, the team returned to Spartan Stadium. This time it was to put the finishing touches on spring practice for the 2018 season with fall camp still more than three months away.

Mark Dantonio ranked 13th-best head coach
Even after this terrible offseason and 3-9 campaign in 2016, some college football preview publications are still giving Dantonio plenty of credit. In fact, Athlon Sports ranked him the 13th-best head coach in college football for 2017. Per Athlon Sports, Dantonio’s drop in ranking from the top 10 last year was due to the Spartans’ 3-9 season in 2016.

Mark Dantonio, Mark Hollis scheduled to address MSU Board of Trustees on Monday
Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio and athletic director Mark Hollis are scheduled to brief the school’s Board of Trustees at a Monday work session, according to a school spokesperson. The session is focused largely on the school’s budget, MSU spokesperson Jason Cody said, but will also include a briefing on “athletic issues” from Dantonio and Hollis. The work session is not open to the public, as it’s not a full board meeting.
