Michigan State had two players honored with Big Ten Three Stars honors this week – graduate student Dylan St. Cyr (Northville, Mich.) and freshman Karsen Dorwart (Sherwood, Ore.). St. Cyr earned the First Star honors for the second time this season. He made 69 saves on 72 shots against in a weekend sweep of Miami, including 39 saves in a 4-0 shutout in the series finale. Dorwart recorded his first career hat trick in the Saturday shutout at Miami, and is now the team’s goal scoring leader (7).

Dorwart Named Big Ten Second Star
Michigan State freshman Karsen Dorwart (Sherwood, Oregon) has been named the Big Ten’s Second Star of the Week, as announced by the Conference office on Tuesday. Dorwart had a pair of goals and two assists in MSU’s split at No. 6 Penn State last weekend. Dorwart had an assist in Friday’s game, and then recorded his first multiple-goal game on Saturday.

Karsen Dorwart Joins Spartan Hockey for Fall ’22
Spartan coach Adam Nightingale has added forward Karsen Dorwart (Sherwood, Oregon) to the Spartan roster for the 2022-23 season. The 6-1, 191-pound Dorwart adds some size on the front lines for the Spartans. Dorwart comes to East Lansing after a season with the USHL’s Sioux Falls Stampede.
