Four Michigan State men’s soccer players earned United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men’s All-North Region Team honors as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday. Junior midfielder Giuseppe Barone and redshirt-sophomore defender Patrick Nielsen picked up first-team accolades. Senior goalkeeper Jimmy Hague garnered second-team honors, while fellow senior forward Ryan Sierakowski was named to the third team.

Jimmy Hague Named to MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List
Michigan State senior goalkeeper Jimmy Hague was one of 75 Division I players named to the Missouri Athletic Club 2018 Hermann Trophy Watch. The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer and is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female players of the year.

Three Spartans Earn United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Honors
Senior defender Jimmy Fiscus, senior midfielder Ken Krolicki and redshirt-junior goalkeeper Jimmy Hague were all named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America team on Thursday.Both Fiscus and Krolicki were named to the first team, while Hague earned second-team honors. The trio were the only players from the Big Ten recognized. This is the first USC Scholar All-America honor for all three.

Six different Michigan State men’s soccer player were honored when the Big Ten postseason awards were announced by the league on Friday. Redshirt-junior goalkeeper Jimmy Hague became the first Spartan to earn Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year honors.

Jimmy Hague Earns Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week Honor
Michigan State goalkeeper Jimmy Hague earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week by the league after a stellar performance in MSU’s 0-0 double overtime tie against No. 3 Maryland last week. Hague, a redshirt-junior goalkeeper from Walled Lake, Michigan, earned his second Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor this season. This was the third career honor for Hague who also was honored by the league on Oct. 4, 2016. The goalkeeper had a clean sheet against the Terrapins and tied his career high with seven saves.
