Several Spartans to Compete in USATF Outdoor Championships
One current Michigan State student-athlete and two former All-Americans have qualified for the 2019 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships that will be held July 25-28 in Des Moines, Iowa. Former Michigan State All-American Justine Kiprotich will run in the first round of the 1,500m on Friday, July 26 at 5:30 p.m. ET. Jerimiah Evans who will be a junior next season will compete in the discus, while former All-American and Big Ten Champion Tori Franklin will compete in the triple jump.

Evans and Smith Punch Their Tickets to the NCAA Finals
Junior Karrigan Smith and sophomore Jerimiah Evans both punched their tickets to the NCAA Finals Friday at the NCAA East Preliminary at Hodges Stadium. Smith advanced in the 3,000m women’s steeplechase, while Evans moved on in the men’s discus.
