Michigan State men’s soccer team had three players named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list on Monday, as announced by the conference office. Graduate midfielder Jack Beck, redshirt-senior defender Will Perkins and junior forward Grayson Mercer were all honored by the league. The Big Ten preseason poll was also released Monday, as voted on by the nine league coaches. MSU was voted to pick sixth, while reigning Big Ten Tournament champion, Penn State, was voted to finish first. Indiana was voted to finish second, with Maryland taking the third position.

Mutatu and Beck Earn All-Big Ten Soccer Honors
Michigan State seniors Farai Mutatu and Jack Beck earned Big Ten postseason awards, as announced by the league Friday. Senior midfielder Jack Beck and senior forward Farai Mutatu both captured first-team All-Big Ten honors. This is the second-straight season that the duo earned All-Big Ten accolades. Both were named to the first team for the first time after capturing second-team honors last season. Beck and Mutatu also earned All-Freshman Team accolades in 2018.

MSU Soccer Has Three Earn Preseason Honors Ahead of Season Opener
Ahead of its highly-anticipated season opener, the Michigan State men’s soccer team had three players named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list on Thursday. The Spartans will open the season on Friday, Feb. 19 against Rutgers at Schoolcraft College at 1 p.m.Senior midfielder Michael Miller, junior midfielder Jack Beck and junior forward Farai Mutatu were all named Big Ten Players to Watch. During the 2018 season, both Beck and Mutatu were named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team.
