The offers just keep coming. Six more have been given out by Michigan State in the last 24 hours, some bigger than others. Four went to 2018 class members, while two went to 2019 players. All show the direction that the Spartans staff is moving with its recruiting efforts this spring. Let’s run through the list of offers and break down what they mean.

On Wednesday the Michigan State staff stopped into Preble High School in Green Bay, Wisc. to evaluate running back prospect Henry Geil. On Thursday, the 6-foot, 204-pound ball-carrier was offered a scholarship by head coach Mark Dantonio. Geil tweeted: “Blessed to say I’ve received my 8th offer from Michigan State University! #GoGreen”

The Michigan State staff is on the road this week stopping into the high schools of many of the top recruits they are evaluating for the class of 2018. On Wednesday, Spartan coaches stopped into St Ignatius and Reynoldsburg in Ohio, as well as Preble High School in Green Bay, Wisc.

One of the players that head coach Mark Dantonio and the Michigan State staff is actively recruiting for the class of 2018 is Henry Geil of Preble High School in Green Bay, Wisc. The 6-foot, 205-pound prospect already has a list of scholarship offers and looks poised to add more this spring. Geil already holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State and Syracuse. Michigan State will host him on campus in the coming weeks and he could add to his scholarship total.
