Greg Roy has no regrets. The former Michigan State walk-on guard wanted to play Division I basketball, so he gave up his guaranteed spot at Division III Adrian College to enroll at MSU as a regular student. He made the roster via tryout, and made his debut late in a home blowout of Illinois on Jan. 7, 2016, in a baggy No. 51 jersey with no nameplate. Roy went on to appear in eight games from 2016-17, making one field goal and one free throw in 10 total minutes of play.
