  • LB Marcel Lewis’ rising stock; Antwan Reed’s status

    Marcel Lewis fit right in among the defensive players on the Detroit Free Press high school football Dream Team at the gala in their honor on Sunday. But in a way, he was the odd one out. Lewis, a Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, Mich.) junior linebacker, was the only underclassman selected for the compilation of the best defensive players in Michigan. He was one of only two on the whole team, along with Belleville (Mich.) tackle Devontae Dobbs, a 5-star junior in the 247Sports composite rankings.

  • Several top 2018 prospects visiting MSU this weekend

    Michigan State will be hosting an impressive group of prospects this weekend as spring practice opens. Coach Mark Dantonio and his staff will have several players on campus that already have a Michigan State scholarship offer as well as a few who could be offered while in East Lansing.

  • Trieu: Divine Child QB Theo Day on MSU: ‘They love me’

    Michigan State will have a large group of football recruits on campus Sunday. The recruits will attend the Spartan basketball game against Wisconsin and spend time with the staff. Currently, there are two juniors with offers who are slated to be there — Dearborn Divine Child quarterback Theo Day and Muskegon offensive tackle Antwan Reed.
