Grose was on the field for 1,005 of Michigan State’s 1,055 total defensive snaps last season, according to Pro Football Focus. That ranked him fourth in the nation for snaps played among all defensive players. It was a sign of his endurance and durability while playing through a wrist injury but also a reflection of a secondary that struggled the second half of the year and didn’t get off the field as much as it wanted.
