Carter joins three-star safety Malik Spencer and three-star offensive lineman Kristian Phillips as the other Georgia natives in MSU’s class.

The Hoosiers, led by Michael Penix Jr., are the team with more momentum heading into the fall than Penn State. On top of that, they are on the road in Bloomington versus home in East Lansing. If last fall didn’t get the Indiana fanbase rocking for football season, literally nothing will ever give them a big home-field advantage. This game also comes as both a second-straight road game, and just the third overall of the season to date, for the Spartans. That is a rough combination.

On Thursday, Gilmore (tight ends coach) posted a picture on Twitter of himself and his group of tight ends on the golf course. Just a harmless picture, right? Well, it looks like it gave away a position change for one of the newest Spartans who was a former four-star receiver. Maliq Carr was pictured with the group of tight ends.

The Nittany Lions essentially had the tale of two seasons last fall. PSU opened with five straight losses before rattling off four straight victories to end the regular season and choosing to forgo a bowl game. Opt-outs by key players and off the field life stressors such as head coach James Franklin sending his family off to a long-term vacation home during the regular season due to an immune issue one of his children has certainly had to play key factors in the season’s struggles.

Reports out of East Lansing and Madison (WI.) indicate that Michigan State has found their next Director of Player Personnel.
