We’re nearing the halfway point for the 2017-18 Michigan State football team and the Spartans have a surprising – to everyone but themselves – record of 4-1. A few weeks ago, it would have been presumptuous to add the “-18” to the “2017” when describing this year’s MSU team. Very few people – if any – had the Spartans projected to continue this season into a bowl game that would flip the calendar to 2018. Yet here we are.
