The Spartans (4-1) entered the game unranked and a double-digit underdog. The Wolverines (4-1) were No. 7. We now know those teams were closer than originally expected heading into the game, so the polls should reflect that. And for many voters, it does.B ut it appears more than one-third of the voters have dismissed that evidence, and most importantly the head-to-head meeting, and many of those by a wide margin. Two voters still have Michigan State unranked. They both have Michigan ranked 14th.
