Michigan State is unranked in the Associated Press Top 25 preseason poll for the first time since 2013. The poll was released Monday and Michigan State received just one point, meaning one writer voted the Spartans No. 25 in the rankings. That vote came from Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News. The Spartans also received just one vote in the preseason Coaches Poll earlier this month. Michigan State is coming off a 3-9 season for their worst record since 1982.
