Michigan State hockey senior forward Charlie Stramel and junior goaltender Trey Augustine were each selected as Top Ten finalists for the 2026 Hobey Baker Memorial Award on Wednesday afternoon. It marks the fourth time in program history that Michigan State has produced multiple finalists in the same season, following Mike York and Chad Alban in 1998, Kip Miller and Bobby Reynolds in 1989, and Craig Simpson and Kelly Miller in 1985.
