In one of the least-surprising developments, freshman Jordan Scott made his first career start for Michigan State in Wednesday’s 76-73 loss at Minnesota. Although the No. 10 Spartans (19-4, 9-3 Big Ten) were sunk by another awful first half before a wild late rally fell short, Scott finished with a career-high 15 points to go with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals, and his 28:56 in playing time trailed only point guard Jeremy Fears for the team-high.
