Nearing the end of a trying season, Michigan State almost got to feel joy again. It looked, and felt, like the Spartans would snap their seven-game losing streak with a feel-good road win at Kinnick Stadium. Nothing comes easily for this group, though, and the Spartans’ 10-point second-half lead unraveled in dramatic fashion. Make it eight losses in a row, as Iowa escaped on its home field, 20-17, with a game-winning 44-yard field goal as time expired.
