Junior Charlie Stramel has earned Big Ten Second Star of the Week honors after his performance in MSU’s split with No. 10 Michigan last weekend. Stramel had a hand in three of MSU’s four goals in a 4-1 victory over the Wolverines at Munn. He scored a hard-work goal in front of the net late in the first period that would serve as the eventual game-winner, and added a shorthanded tally – the first of his career – in the second period. He also had an assist on Matt Basgall’s power play goal that opened the game. The centerman had his second three-point game in the last two series, as he had a career-best three assists the previous weekend in a victory at Penn State.
