The Spartans, who are ranked No. 4 in this week’s USCHO rankings, are coming off a bye week following a road sweep at Canisius and look to start the quest to repeat as Big Ten champions off on the right foot. MSU’s power play finally clicked in Buffalo, scoring three goals in 12 chances to help sweep the Griffins. Junior forwards Isaac Howard and Daniel Russell lead the team with four goals, while Howard leads the team in points with eight.
