Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh has been named the Shaun Alexander National Freshman Player of the Week after helping lead MSU to a 27-24 victory last Saturday at Maryland. Each week during the 2024 season, the Maxwell Football Club will recognize an outstanding performance by a college freshman with the Shaun Alexander Freshman Player of the Week award. Marsh caught eight passes for 194 yards – the 10th-highest single-game total in Spartan history – in the win over the Terrapins. It also marked the second-most receiving yards in a game by a Spartan freshman.
