Michigan State baseball opened a three-game Big Ten Conference weekend series at Purdue with a 7-2 loss Friday night at a windy Alexander Field in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Boilermakers steamed out to a 4-0 lead after three frames and the Spartans were unable to come back.
