Trey Augustine has been named the Big Ten Second Star of the Week. This is his third Star honor this season and the ninth time a Spartan has been honored by the league office. Augustine backstopped the Spartans (20-7-3, 14-4-2) to a sweep of 11th-ranked Michigan, holding the Wolverine offense (ranked second nationally entering the series) to three goals. The freshman earned his second win in as many tries at Yost Ice Arena on Friday with a 5-1 win behind a 29-save performance, and then stood firm in a 3-2 victory on Saturday at Little Caesars Arena, making 37 saves.
