It is a short stay home for No. 14 Michigan State basketball this week. But enough time for a visit from Northwestern before hitting the road again. After splitting a pair of away games last week, losing at Indiana and winning at Minnesota, the Spartans get a brief break at the midpoint of Big Ten play Wednesday. MSU, in a first-place tie with Illinois, hosts last-place Northwestern at Breslin Center (6:30 p.m., BTN).
