Elijah Collins’ starting debut was memorable. The Michigan State redshirt freshman running back racked up 192 yards on 17 carries in a 51-17 blowout win against Western Michigan on Sept. 7. That was two months ago and six games went by without Collins reaching triple digits in rushing. He snapped that streak by rushing for 170 yards and two touchdowns on a career-high 28 carries in a 37-34 loss to Illinois last week.
