Collins has 90 carries for 476 yards and three touchdowns this season and five catches for 36 yards. He is averaging 66.8 yards a game and 4.1 yards per carry in the four games since WMU. Salem believes the 6-foot, 217-pound Collins can withstand the pounding of a 20-30 carry workload. “He’s a big, strong guy,” Salem said. “Absolutely, I think he could carry the load, just because physically, he could handle it.”
