A five-day break without a game wasn’t enough rest for Michigan State to show up in the first half. The No. 10 Spartans dug an 18-point deficit early and were thumped 92-71 by Wisconsin at the Kohl Center on Friday night. It was the fifth straight game Michigan State (20-5, 10-4 Big Ten) trailed at the half and led to a third loss in the last four games to severely diminish any shot at repeating as conference champion. It was an ugly performance in which the Spartans were outplayed, outhustled and definitely outshot.
