Michigan State has landed its first commitment of the 2027 recruiting class, as Massillon (Ohio) running back Savior Owens announced his pledge to the Spartans following a successful junior day visit and recent offer. Owens, a 5-foot-11, 215-pound running back and one of Ohio’s rising young prospects, made his decision after getting an in-depth look at the program, the coaching staff and the direction Michigan State is heading under Pat Fitzgerald.
