Michigan State has added freshman punter Alex Weeks from Northern Arizona University. Weeks is a 6-foot-3, 165-pound freshman from Scottsdale, Arizona, and reunites with his former special teams coach, Josh Robinson, who recently joined Michigan State as an assistant special teams coach working alongside special teams coordinator LeVar Woods. As a true freshman at Northern Arizona, Weeks appeared in one game, handling kickoff duties and recording five kickoffs for 248 yards. Weeks will provide depth behind starting punter Rhys Dakin and gives Michigan State a quality long-term backup at the position with four years of eligibility remaining.
