Saturday’s basketball game at Duke was supposed to be the cherry on top. Tom Izzo’s team couldn’t quite stick the landing to a frenetic few days, as No. 7 MSU fell to No. 4 Duke in a packed Breslin Center, 66-60, in a game that never saw a 10-point lead and was tied at 55 with 1 minute, 59 seconds to play.
