Tuesday marked the deadline for NFL clubs to pare down their rosters from the 90 slots they were allotted during training camp to the initial group of 53 that will begin the regular season. Several Michigan State products got bad news and were shown the door on Tuesday, though two rookies were able to make their respective teams coming out of camp – running back Nate Carter with the Atlanta Falcons and offensive lineman Luke Newman with the Chicago Bears.
