In a matchup of the top-ranked teams in the Big Ten, No. 2/3 Michigan State and No. 1/1 Minnesota skated to a 3-3 tie in Minneapolis on Friday night. MSU took home the extra point in the Big Ten standings with a shootout victory. Trey Augustine made a season-high 40 saves, keeping the uber-talented Minnesota offense at bay with exceptional saves from the opening period through overtime.
