The MSU hockey team has made noise since the start of its season earlier this month and was recognized accordingly on Monday. The Spartans jumped from No. 4 to the No. 3 spot in the USCHO and USA Hockey Polls after Boston University’s 7-2 loss to the University of North Dakota. The Spartans’ lone loss came in their second weekend of play against Boston College, which shut them out 3-0 the first night. MSU rebounded on the second to avoid a sweep with a 4-3 win.
