In 2023, Michigan State’s run game was mostly obsolete. The team averaged only 89.5 rushing yards per game, good for dead last in the conference. In fact, MSU was the only Big Ten team to average less than 100 rushing YPG last year, and there were only six teams in the whole FBS who had a lower output.
