Freshman netminder Trey Augustine (South Lyon, Mich.) has been named the Big Ten First Star of the Week, as announced by the Conference office on Tuesday, Nov. 21. Augustine stopped 60 of 64 shots he faced in a sweep of No. 1 Wisconsin at Munn Ice Arena. He made 32 saves in Friday’s 4-2 win, and then 28 in the Saturday clincher to give MSU its first win over a No. 1-ranked squad since October of 2009 (vs. Miami, 3-2 in OT).
