Michigan State’s freshmen progressing but still playing limited role
Tom Izzo made it clear entering Michigan State’s Tuesday Champions Classic game against Duke who would be leading the way in the biggest game of his team’s non-conference season. And it wasn’t going to be his team’s freshmen.“They’re not saving the day on Tuesday,” Izzo said of his team’s freshmen entering the matchup. “They’re going to get better, but the day is going to be saved by the veterans that have been through the wars.”
