Larson Named Big Ten Second Star of the Week
Sophomore forward Joey Larson (Brighton, Mich.) has earned Big Ten Second Star of the Week honors, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning. Larson recorded a hat trick in MSU’s most recent game against Air Force and had a five-point weekend in Colorado Springs (3-2-5). It was the sophomore’s first career hat trick, and he also established a new career best for points in a game (4). Larson is one of three players in the country with a hat trick this season and the only one in the Big Ten.
