Michigan State opens fall camp with ‘new energy’ and revamped QB competition
Shortly before 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Mel Tucker walked through rows of players stretching while inspecting them and swinging a whistle in his right hand. Year four of Tucker’s tenure at Michigan State was already well underway but preparation is now ramping up. The Spartans had their first practice of fall camp on Thursday ahead of the Sept. 1 season opener against Central Michigan.
