Freeland Punches Ticket to Austin on Final Day of NCAA East Preliminary
Michigan State track & field senior Lauren Freeland earned her first trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 1500m to wrap up the final day of action at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Jacksonville, Florida, Saturday evening. Freeland set a personal best of 4:14.09 to finish seventh in her heat and snag the final time-qualifying spot in the event. She will make her first NCAA Outdoor Championships appearance in two weeks in Austin, Texas.
