Michigan State track & field graduate student Trevor Stephenson has been named Big Ten Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league Wednesday. Stephenson highlighted MSU’s performances at last week’s Spartan Invitational, setting a school record in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.51m. His mark topped Paul Terek’s previous record of 5.50m that had stood since 2002.
