Michigan State lost in an overtime thriller to third-seeded Kansas State, 98-93, Thursday night in the East Regional Semifinal at Madison Square Garden. Junior guard A.J. Hoggard scored a career-high 25 points and was 10-of-11 from the free-throw line to lead MSU. Three other Spartans scored in double-figures as graduate forward Joey Hauser poured in 18 points and hit four 3-pointers, senior guard Tyson Walker made four 3-pointers and scored 16 points, and Jaden Akins scored 14 while also making four 3’s.
