No. 15 Michigan State heads out on the road to Minneapolis for a two-game series at No. 2 Minnesota. MSU trails in the all-time series by a 50-131-16 margin, including 5-0 and 6-3 wins in East Lansing in early December. In that series, both the Gophers and the Spartans skated through both games penalty-free – the first known time that two Division I men’s hockey teams BOTH skated through a two-game series without a penalty called. MSU brings Minnesota products Justin Jallen (St. Paul) and Gavin Best (Richfield) to play in their home state.
