By Monday afternoon, Michigan State had played six games in 17 days against some of college basketball’s toughest teams and made four cross-country flights to do so. The Spartans had flown through the night coming home from Portland after a 2-1 weekend at the Phil Knight Invitational and by the afternoon had started their preparation for a Wednesday game at Notre Dame (9:15 p.m., ESPN2).
