When the national anthem plays before Michigan State basketball games, Doug Wojcik lets his thoughts drift off to sea. The Michigan State assistant coach spends those quiet few moments thinking about the men and women serving their country on ships around the world. Three decades after he was last at sea, he still feels a kinship to them. “I was that guy,” Wojcik said.
