Defensive woes the biggest bugaboos in Michigan State’s 2-2 start
Receivers running free and points piling up have been the lasting images of the Michigan State defense over the past two weeks. In losses at Washington and last week at home to Minnesota, the Spartans’ defense has been dominated, giving up more than 500 yards in each game, failing to put any pressure on the quarterback and helping dig early holes that a similarly faltering offense has had no chance of digging out from.
