Ameer Speed has already spent five years in college, earned a bachelor’s degree and won a national championship last season at Georgia. After transferring to Michigan State in January, the cornerback is closing out his last fall camp in college and embracing new challenges with the season opener against Western Michigan just a week away. “I’m excited, very excited,” Speed said after practice on Thursday. “I’m ready to get in that green and white and just get in front of that crowd and show what we’ve been working on.”
