Michigan State could start three members of its 2019 recruiting class on the offensive line this fall. It might even be the most likely outcome. If that’s the alignment O-line coach Chris Kapilovic goes with, all three Spartans will have taken disparate paths to the first unit. Guard JD Duplain is a lock, returning for his third year as a full-time starter. Center Nick Samac has logged significant snaps his first three seasons, including 10 starts, and now he’s looking to take sole ownership of the position. And tackle Spencer Brown, after biding his time behind the scenes, has positioned himself to legitimately contend for a starting job for the first time in his career.
