Michigan State football assistants get raises; coordinators over $1M
Mel Tucker’s new contract brought about a windfall for the rest of his Michigan State football staff. All of Tucker’s returning assistant coaches received pay raises for this year, according to updated contracts provided by the university. That included boosts that put both offensive coordinator Jay Johnson and defensive coordinator Scottie Hazelton above $1 million per year, as well as offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic.
