Walker announced Thursday he is declaring for the NFL draft and will not play in the Dec. 30 Peach Bowl against Pittsburgh in Atlanta. It’s a smart decision to avoid risking injury and one that fans shouldn’t second guess. Walker gave the Spartans everything he had and will be remembered as one of the greatest running backs in program history, even if he spent only one season in green and white.
