The Michigan State wrestling team started its 118th season with a pair of individual crowns at the Michigan State Open on Saturday in Jenison Field House. Sophomore Chase Saldate picked up where he left off last season, taking first place the Open Division at 157 and notching a Fall in four of his five matches, while fellow sophomore Caleb Fish won the 165-weight class in the Freshman/Sophomore division after a 6-3 winning decision over Indiana’s Robert Major.
